"THE
STORY OF MY HEART"
Many Malawian children have failed to achieve their academic
ambitions due to social, economical, as well as ethnical reasons. This problem is more prevalent especially if you are orphaned
at an early stage of your life.
However, through the Big hand of Almighty God, the material
and moral support from many relatives, friends and the spiritual support from
various groups at Chitedze, Bvumbwe research stations, Salima and Blantyre, they have made me to achieve academic heights
which many Malawians in a similar situation have failed, not because they are not intelligent, but because of lack of support.
The road from an orphan in 1975, to completing JCE while working
as a labourer at Icrisat and passing MSCE at Salima Night Secondary, then the Certificate in Agriculture at Natural Resources
College, before working with the Malawi Government, Lever Brothers, Panner Seed companies has made me to cast all my eyes
above.
Indeed with great support from you friends, God I completed
my MSc in Environment and Development from one of the leading Universities in the UK, the University of East Anglia. Today,
the road is leading to produce the first PhD student in the life history of my family since 1870. May God continue to bless all who have opened their doors, gave
me food, water, shelter and money, and indeed all the friends I met at Bunda the institution of my heart for turning me into
a decision maker.
